Building the Infrastructure for Better Compliance Workflows

BIM Pro AI exists to make energy code compliance workflows faster, more consistent, and more defensible — without replacing the professional judgment that the industry depends on.

Why We Built This

The Gap We Saw

Energy code compliance is complex, time-consuming, and inconsistent across firms and projects. The workflows haven't kept up with the tools that now exist to improve them.

Engineers and architects spend hours per project on manual code document lookups, data re-entry, and compliance documentation — work that's structurally repetitive but carries real professional liability. And when a reviewer questions a value, tracing it back takes even more time.

We're building the infrastructure to change that. Not by replacing professional judgment — but by making the structured, repetitive parts faster and the auditable parts more traceable.

Our Technical Philosophy

Enterprise-grade software for professional workflows has to be auditable. AI is useful — but only in the right role. We are careful about what we ask it to do.

That means deterministic engines for calculations. Structured citation systems for code documents. AI scoped to explanation and summarization — never to code determination. And output design that supports professional review, not replaces it.

Long-Term Vision

Phase 0 is a foundation. The long-term vision is a platform that connects the full compliance workflow — from model to submittal — in a way that's traceable, consistent, and built for the professionals who stake their license on the work.

Team

We are a small founding team building BIM Pro AI for professionals who stake their license on submittal accuracy — combining architectural practice with hands-on software development.

Tom Leccetti

Architect

Brings practice-side perspective on how firms deliver projects, coordinate compliance documentation, and use BIM from design through submittal.

Jacob Mandt

Software development

Leads engineering and technical direction for BIM Pro AI, focused on reliable, auditable systems for professional AEC workflows.

Built in Partnership

BIM Pro AI is developed in active partnership with Vasto Design Group, an architecture firm that lives the energy code compliance problem on real projects.

Their team's direct experience — with the manual re-entry, the inconsistent interpretations, the audit exposure — shapes every layer of the platform: from what the Revit plugin extracts to how outputs are structured for professional review.

This isn't a product built by technologists guessing at architectural workflows. It's built from inside one.

Mission

Make energy code compliance workflows faster, more consistent, and more defensible — without replacing the professional judgment the industry depends on.

Current Phase

Phase 0 — System design, architecture specification, and establishing the technical foundation for the compliance platform.

Phase 1 development is planned to begin in H2 2026. Early access participants will be the first to receive access to the Phase 1 build and will have direct input on feature prioritization.

Disclaimer

BIM Pro AI outputs are designed to support professional review workflows. They are not a substitute for licensed professional judgment or official code compliance determination.
