Why We Built This
The Gap We Saw
Energy code compliance is complex, time-consuming, and inconsistent across firms and projects. The workflows haven't kept up with the tools that now exist to improve them.
The envelope gets measured in the model, then typed into COMcheck again: areas, orientations, and assemblies, entered a second time for the submittal. The work is repetitive, and a licensed professional is still responsible for it. When a reviewer questions a value, the trail back to the model is the hard part.
We're building the infrastructure to change that. Not by replacing professional judgment — but by making the structured, repetitive parts faster and the auditable parts more traceable.
Our Technical Philosophy
Software for compliance work has to be auditable. Every number BIM Pro AI produces comes from a rules engine working on your Revit model, and the same inputs always give the same outputs. There is no AI in the calculation or anywhere else in the product.
The output is built to support a professional review, not replace it: every value can be traced back to the model elements it came from.

Tom Laccetti
AIA, CSI — Owner & Founder
Tom Laccetti, AIA, CSI, is a licensed architect in Georgia with more than 41 years in practice. He has designed and managed more than 25 million square feet of industrial, commercial, and residential work. A graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University (B.S., Architectural Engineering Technology, 1989), he takes a pragmatic, problem-solving approach that balances function, aesthetics, and cost.
He served two terms on the AIA Atlanta Board of Directors, revitalized the AIA Young Architects Forum — which earned National Chapter of the Year during his presidency — and held leadership roles with the Construction Specifications Institute and the Architecture Foundation of Georgia. In 2016, Governor Nathan Deal appointed him to represent licensed design professionals in Georgia's Industrialized Buildings Program.
Tom co-founded Appleby + Laccetti Architects in 2005 and later founded Vasto Design Group, focused on industrial and retail clients. His work includes projects for UPS, Caterpillar, AT&T, Nestlé Purina, HEB, Old Navy, T.J. Maxx, and many others. As an owner and founder of BIM Pro AI, he brings that practice-side perspective on how firms deliver projects, coordinate compliance documentation, and use BIM from design through submittal.
Wes Taylor
Project Manager & BIM Specialist
Wes Taylor has more than 34 years of experience in architecture spanning design, project management, and technical drafting. His portfolio includes athletic stadiums, dormitories, high-rise offices, industrial distribution and cold storage, tenant layouts, office renovations, custom residential, and civic and religious facilities.
He began collaborating with Tom Laccetti on industrial warehouse projects at Macgregor Associates Architects, joined Appleby + Laccetti Architects in 2006, and in 2024 helped launch Vasto Design Group — bringing a strong command of Revit and BIM to industrial and retail work. Wes earned a B.S. in Architectural Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University in 1994. Clients have included Marshall University, Georgia Southern, Fulton County, HEB, Pepsi Bottling Group, and State Farm.
Jacob Mandt
Founder & Lead Engineer
Jacob Mandt is an Atlanta-based software engineer and founder. He leads engineering and technical direction for BIM Pro AI, focused on reliable, auditable systems for professional AEC workflows.
He founded JCM Development, where he builds custom software across SaaS, automation, and AI — including LLM integrations and production web and mobile applications. As a founding software engineer at Antimatter AI and lead software engineer at Clinix AI, he shipped full-stack products spanning web, iOS, and Android, including AI-assisted documentation workflows with an emphasis on privacy and security. He earlier worked as a software engineer at Hannibal AI.
