Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about data, code documents, Revit, and how BIM Pro AI fits professional workflows.
Does BIM Pro AI store my Revit model data?
No. Model data extracted through the Revit plugin is processed to run compliance calculations and is not retained after your session. We do not store, index, or use your model data for any purpose other than the compliance calculation you initiate.
Does BIM Pro AI store documents I upload?
No. Documents uploaded to BIM Pro AI are processed in-session and are not written to persistent storage. Once your session ends, the document is no longer accessible to the system.
Is BIM Pro AI's output usable for permit submission?
BIM Pro AI outputs are designed to support professional review workflows. They are research and documentation assistance tools, not official compliance determinations. A licensed professional must review, verify, and take responsibility for any compliance documentation submitted for permitting. Our outputs are designed to make that professional review faster and more traceable — not to replace it.
Which energy code sources does BIM Pro AI support?
BIM Pro AI is designed for energy code compliance workflows. The core engine applies rules-based logic derived from publicly available code content and adopted energy code requirements. Support for additional sections and IECC compliance paths is planned for Phase 2. Users can supply any applicable energy code document through the upload feature for citation-supported explanations. See our standards policy for detail.
Which version of Revit is supported?
Revit plugin compatibility will be documented when Phase 1 is released. We are targeting compatibility with current and recent versions of Revit. Contact us if you have specific version requirements.
How is BIM Pro AI different from UpCodes or other building code tools?
UpCodes and similar tools are research platforms for looking up code sections. BIM Pro AI connects directly to your Revit model, runs deterministic compliance calculations from that model data, and produces traceable compliance documentation. The starting point is your building model, not a code search query.
Is BIM Pro AI appropriate for LEED or other green building certifications?
Many LEED energy performance paths reference jurisdiction-specific baseline energy code requirements. BIM Pro AI's compliance calculations may support LEED-related workflows, but we are not a LEED certification tool. Consult your LEED reviewer for certification-specific requirements.
When will Phase 1 be available?
Phase 1 development is planned to begin in H2 2026. Join the early access program via our contact form to be notified when builds are available.
How do I get early access?
Contact us through the early access form. We are prioritizing early access for architecture firms, MEP engineering firms, and energy consultants who want to help shape the platform with real workflow input.
